Your Strategy for CBSE Excellence
The CBSE Class 10 landscape has shifted. It’s no longer just about rote memorization. With 50% Competency-Based Questions, the 2026 exam demands conceptual clarity. This interactive dashboard synthesizes top expert advice into a single actionable plan.
The 2026 Assessment Blueprint
Understanding the rules of the game is step one. The CBSE 2026 pattern is heavily tilted towards “Competency-Based Education” (CBE). This means nearly half your paper tests your ability to apply concepts, not just write definitions.
Question Type Distribution (Theory: 80 Marks)
Competency Based Questions
Includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Case-Based Questions, Source-Based Integrated Questions.
Strategy: Practice applying concepts to real-life scenarios. Don’t just memorize definitions.
Select Response / Objective
Standard objective type questions. These are the easiest marks to lose if you are careless, but the easiest to gain with precision.
Constructed Response (Short/Long)
Traditional 3-mark and 5-mark questions.
Strategy: Focus on presentation, keywords, and step-wise marking.
